The Hart eSlate is the most secure, accurate and reliable electronic voting system in the world. The easy-to-use design is accessible to all voters, including people with disabilities, increasing voter confidence that their vote is counted.

  • A set of distinctly shaped control buttons and the SELECT Wheel are easy for voters to understand and use, and never need calibration.
  • eSlate is easily adapted for voters with disabilities.
  • Ballots can be presented in multiple languages.
  • Voters are presented with a summary of their votes before they can activate the "Cast Ballot" button, allowing for second chance vote changes as required by the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002.
  • A Verifiable Ballot Option (VBO) offers extra assurance.

The Judge's Booth Controller (JBC) is the polling place control console that manages up to 12 eSlates.

Using election data on a PC memory card called a Mobile Ballot Box, the JBC sends correct ballot information to individual eSlates for each voter. The JBC prints a random four-digit Access Code so each voter can view and vote the correct ballot.

eSlates daisy-chain through one cable to the JBC. No programming, wiring, or special skills are required.
