The Hart Voting System has a proven, unblemished record for security, accuracy, reliability, and accessibility. Our Verifiable Ballot Option (VBO) was designed for those jurisdictions affected by Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) legislation or regulations.

Give Voters Confidence

The VBO works with the eSlate to automatically create a paper audit trail as a voter completes an electronic ballot. The voter can review a paper summary of her ballot choices before the vote is cast. This summary also serves as an additional audit trail.

Voters with disabilities have the same opportunity to verify ballots through the eSlate's optional Disabled Access Unit, which includes audio verification.

Separate and Secure

The VBO is integrated into the Hart voting booth for voter security. The integrated design minimizes space needs and set-up time. The unit is sealed for security, and the paper ballot is viewed through glass to prevent tampering.

The VBO is sealed at the warehouse and remains sealed in the field. When the unit runs out of paper it is replaced with a new sealed unit to maintain security.
