Counties Move to Hart 's ePollBooks for Efficiency, Security, and Accuracy

AUSTIN, Texas – March 21, 2012 – Hart InterCivic, a leading national provider of election voting systems, management products and services, announced today it will supply Goliad County, Texas and Brazoria County, Texas with electronic poll books that will replace the paper precinct rosters used for checking in voters on Election Day. The addition of these two counties brings the total number of jurisdictions using Hart’s ePollBook in Texas to eighty-four. Hart’s ePollBook is also used in Indiana and Washington, D.C.
“Obviously electronic poll books are the way to go, as they eliminate weekend printing marathons before elections, cut down on errors, and speed up the check in lines in the polling places,” said Joyce Hudman, Brazoria County Clerk. “We looked at all the options carefully, and in the end selected Hart as the best solution.”
As counties in Texas prepare for this year’s big elections, the use of automated poll books adds one more layer of efficiency and accuracy to the voting process. Hart’s ePollBook can be used with any voting system and voter registration system.
