Summary

As a key technical role, the Technical Deployment Project Manager has a proven track record in designing, implementing and trouble-shooting software technical solutions. The individual is customer-facing with broad and deep technical skills, strong communication capabilities and a dynamic, pragmatic approach. Working with other members of the Professional Services, Engineering, and Operations teams, the Technical Deployment Project Manager directs activity, solves problems, and develops lasting and strong relationships with our customers. The Technical Deployment Project Manager will serve as the project manager, deploying a complex software suite within a customer environment, including assessing the IT environment and key process needs, training the customers, and troubleshooting and supporting after deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct customer Technical Site Surveys
  • Work with customer IT department
  • Install and deploy Voter Registration/EMS offering
  • Develop project plans and applicable subordinate plans, including identification of risks and contingency plans
  • Utilize Hart InterCivic’s established project management tools to ensure successful, timely, and on-budget implementation of the Hart InterCivic Voter Registration/EMS product suite
  • Gain in-depth understanding of Hart InterCivic’s entire Voter Registration/EMS product offering and associated architecture principles and standards to ensure that repeatable, predictable, cost-effective quality solutions are delivered according to customer and Hart InterCivic’s timescales, functional and financial expectations
  • Support product and solution design documentation as required and requested
  • Provide customer support for product as needed
  • Provide technical training to clients regarding software installation procedures, and more as needed
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks

Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying a complex software suite within a customer environment – including assessing the customer IT environment, training the customers, and troubleshooting and supporting after deployment
  • Four or more years’ experience with SQL Server, including Microsoft’s Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
  • Windows 2016 / Windows 2019 Server experience
  • Octopus Deployment Mechanism experience preferred
  • Telerik (or similar) reporting experience
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, MIS, or comparable work experience
  • Experience installing, configuring, and administering complex applications on Windows servers
  • Experience installing and configuring the Microsoft SQL Server database engine
  • Working knowledge of Windows server hardware and network configurations
  • Working knowledge of AWS or Azure services (Azure preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of web server technology, .NET framework, and SSL security

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree, or the equivalent, is required.
  • Experience with complex software deployment is required.
  • Experience with software deployment in on Premise IT environments and single-tenant cloud is required.
  • Elections management experience is preferred.
  • While the job should typically demand an average of 25% time spent in travel, during critical points in an installation more travel may be required.
