RFP Writer-Coordinator

SUMMARY

Experienced marketing and technical writer needed to help respond to growing volume of formal Requests for Quote / Information / Proposal. Exceptional project management skills are also required to help keep the growing number of response projects on-track and on-time. Successful candidate will have strong collaborative and interpersonal skills to help navigate the cross-functional landscape of technical subject matter experts, professional services experts, finance experts, sales account owners and other reviewers and input providers. This role works in partnership with other members of the RFP Response and Marketing teams and reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Thoroughly reviews terms and requirements of Requests for Proposals once a decision has been made to respond
  • Sets up proposal folder; prepares a calendar of RFP response milestones, planning documents and document templates
  • Assists proposal manager in completing RFP responses
  • Prepares all forms and attachments required as part of a proposal package
  • Writes and edits proposal library content
  • Produces diagrams, charts and other graphics
  • Performs desktop publishing to produce proposal deliverables
  • Maintains proposal-related reports
  • Coordinates and ensures on-time shipping and delivery of proposals
  • Participates in forming strategic approach to winning bids
  • Assists in continuously improving proposal process
  • Participates in research/web searches and special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in related field.

Qualifications

  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to gather and distill information from multiple sources
  • Must be organized and able to work with accuracy and efficiency on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent grammatical and spelling skills required
  • Ability to work well with other team members is essential
  • Must be skilled in the use of typical office and graphics software (including but not limited to MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite – including In Design & PhotoShop)
  • Must have a keen eye for formatting, graphics, and design aesthetics
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail and compliance is required
  • 2-5 Years work experience in same/similar/related functions
