Summary
Versatile Accounting Intern needed in fast-paced accounting department to handle various AR and Travel & Expense processes. The position is primarily responsible for day-to-day Accounts Receivable, including cash applications and communications/correspondence with customers. This position will report to the Accounting Manager.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time
Responsibilities:
- AR collection calls and emails
- Cash Applications
- Daily Deposits
- Respond to various requests/emails in generic AR outlook email box
- Review and approve submitted expense reports
- Communicate and follow up with submitters
- Review general ledger coding for accuracy
- Create and enter various Journal entries
- Review month over month variances (AR and expense),
- Perform assigned account reconciliations
- Assist with Financial review
- Assist with Customer maintenance
- Assist with Credit management
- Assist with Audits as needed
Qualifications:
- Must have completed high school. Active enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited local University, with a major in Accounting or related field is preferred.
- Desired: Experience with NetSuite

- Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook
- Accuracy
